Day + 3(round 2)

I know I haven't written any blog since transplant but to be honest I couldn't really update you on anything as I was out of the loop myself. Well I am back in crumlin with the little woman now so thought I would update the blog. Things are going well so far. Thursday was the day of the transplant. I was brought down to theatre at 8 am thurs morning and was all done 1 hr 40 mins later. Yes it was sore when I came around and I have the utmost respect for unrelated donors as it has not been an easy recovery. The bone marrow was sent to crumlin and they got all the the good stuff down to about 106 mls and kerri got it at 4pm. No problems that evening and Friday was relatively good day for kerri too. I was discharged yesterday and came back to crumlin. Kerri started to feel sick yesterday and between yesterday afternoon and this morning she vomited 20 times!!! God love her she was so worn out by it. But this morning she was so much better and has not been sick once. She is in isolation with influenza B and also has an infection in her poo but is not really showing symptoms of either, thank god! Kerri had a one off temperature today so is on antibiotics now too.. But in the grand scheme of things, kerri is playing a blinder and managing to laugh through a lot of it!! She has also been minding my back too... She would put me to shame!! I want to thank des for minding me in James and for mam and dayo for minding paul and kerri... And all who visited, text, called, prayed, keep it up!!! Xxxxxxx Anita Ps thanks to the Stonemans for sorting car and NCT xxxxx
