An emotional day!

Well what can I say. It has been an emotional day, strange too. The past few weeks have been the worst of our life( and we have had bad ones!!) but today we have been shown a gap in those dark dark clouds. On friday 23 march we were given very little hope that there were options for Kerri. We were told the chemo mightnt work and it would be a case of  palliative treatment. But today that changed, The leukemia cells in her bone marrow have gone from 70% to less than 1% !!!And then we were given an option! yes its our only option but it is a plan and treatment we didnt think she could have. The amazing Prof Smith told us he will give her one more dose of chemo and then radiotherapy and then transplant her. Myself or paul will be donating it and we both got tested today. Yes Kerri still has a tough road ahead and its not going to be easy but it will be a road the 3 of us will take together and fight on with everything we have!!!
Sitting waiting on that meeting today was tough and every gesture or smile on way into room was analysed (nurses/medics be mindful of body language, you have no idea how that can impact on someone!!)
Thank you everyone for your support....... it is genuinely unreal how many hearts Kerri has touched. Keep up the prayers, we still need all of it....
We go to bed with some brighter thoughts tonight and hopefully a good night sleep will come!!
Thank you all
